1991 Ferrari 348 TS
Please! Can a car enthusiast buy this 1991 Ferrari (red) 348 TS and save it from being parked on a gravel drive next to the sort of camper where free candy is given out to kids on days that are not Halloween. Ok, so the camper is not that bad, but the environment that this 348 appears to be exposed to does befit the awesomeness of cheese grater doors and pop up headlights.
I hear you, the Ferrari 348 isn't that great. That may be true compared to its younger brother the F355 or older brother the 328, but don't let middle-child syndrome fool you. The Ferrari 348 is a victim of opinions expressed by a few reviewers almost 3 decades ago and no one has really attempted to change the narrative.
Does the 348 deserve a second look? Probably. The booming values of these cars is no doubt being carried by the gated Ferrari frenzy that is currently happening, but once the price to play becomes close to $60,000, people will be forced to ask if the car is truly worth it. Luckily if you want to hop on the manual transmission Ferrari train today, all you need to do is call Frank and give him a cool $42,500. Frank paints a lovely picture of this car with one long runonsentence, with, lots of commas, but the gist is, this baby is,,,, minty! If 75% percent of what Frank is saying turns out to be true, this 1991 348 TS is a very solid buy.
Pros
- The right color combination
- Sounds like a recent engine-out service which is a big deal
- Priced right
- An unruly block of parmesan would never again be a problem of yours
Not-so Pros
- TS = Targa = Worse
- People will see you in a (red) Ferrari
- Somehow the lack of care in pictures makes me uncertain about the glowing description
